What is the Fluxabee Platform?
The Fluxabee Platform combines a beekeeping app, AI and your voice. Record your observations, review the report prepared by AI and save it in your apiary history. Hive scales, voice recorders and Flux Tag extend the same platform when you need them.
Do I need to buy devices to use the app and AI?
No. You can start with the Fluxabee app on your phone and record your observations there. You can also import supported audio files from another recorder or recording app. The Fluxabee scale, recorder and Flux Tag are optional additions.
How does AI process my voice observations?
Record your observations on your phone or import a supported audio file. AI prepares a report with proposed notes, tasks and updates to hive data. You review it, correct anything that needs it and approve the changes before saving.
How much does Fluxabee cost?
Scale costs 29 EUR including tax per year and includes scale mode without AI and 1 scale. Basic costs 49 EUR per year for up to 10 hives, 2000 AI tokens and 1 scale. Pro costs 119 EUR per year with unlimited hives, 10000 AI tokens and 2 scales. One plan covers the owner’s apiaries. Each additional scale above the allowance costs 5 EUR per year after its own first included year.
Is the Fluxabee app available in my language?
Yes - the Fluxabee app is fully translated into English, German, Polish and many other languages. You can switch the interface language at any time in the app settings.
How does Fluxabee protect my apiary data?
Data from the scales and the app is encrypted in transit and stored on servers located in the European Union, in line with GDPR. Only signed-in users can access their own apiary, and Fluxabee never shares your data with third parties without your consent.
Does the Fluxabee hive scale work in winter and below freezing?
Yes - the Fluxabee hive scale is built to operate year-round, including in winter. The sensors keep working at sub-zero temperatures and the integrated solar panel keeps the battery topped up even on overcast days. You receive uninterrupted weight and temperature readings from the hive, which is critical for safe wintering.
How long does the battery last in the hive scale?
The Fluxabee scale uses an integrated solar panel that charges its built-in battery, so you never have to plug it in or swap batteries. Under normal operating conditions the battery keeps the scale active for many weeks even without direct sunlight.
Does the scale work without WiFi?
Yes. The Fluxabee scale uses the cellular network, so you don't need WiFi at the apiary. That matters because most apiaries sit far from any home router - all the scale needs is mobile coverage.
How many hives can I monitor with one scale?
Each Fluxabee scale monitors a single hive. In the app you can add as many scales as you want and manage them inside one apiary - whether you run 1, 10 or 50 hives.
Is the hive scale weatherproof in the rain?
Yes. The Fluxabee scale's enclosure is waterproof and designed to live outdoors year-round. Rain, snow and humidity have no effect on the measurements.
How do I install the scale under the hive?
The scale ships with a mounting guide. You simply place it on a flat surface and put the hive directly on top of the scale plate. The whole setup takes a few minutes and requires no special tools.
What happens if I lose cellular coverage at the apiary?
The scale stores measurements in its internal memory and uploads them as soon as cellular coverage returns. You don't lose any data - even in remote spots with weak signal.
